The effects of traffic management measures on the regional traffic system can only be partially calculated or simulated statically.
With Transcality’s digital twin, we were able to simulate various adjustments to traffic signal controls while simultaneously analyzing the impacts on the regional traffic system.
Planning a large infrastructure project requires model-based evaluations to improve decision making. These models need to be highly flexible and adaptive to accommodate changing requirements. Transcality’s digital twin proved to be the ideal solution for our initial traffic impact estimates and greatly enhanced our what-if scenario analyses.
Following Covid -19 we needed to understand how new patterns of travel by our customers, and the delivery of new infrastructure, such as cycle lanes, would impact the operational performance of the London road network.
